A Visit to Apuldram Waste Water Treatment Works (Code V2) Sorry Event Full

A repeat visit to the Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW) at Apuldram followed by a Light Lunch at the Dell Quay Pub.

We will take a tour of the Works that serve a population of 45,000 across Chichester and the surrounding area. Each day it receives and treats millions of litres of wastewater, helping protect and enhance water quality in the River Lavant and Chichester Harbour. The Works boasts a £2 million ultra-violet disinfection system, significantly improving the flows released into Chichester Harbour during storms and at times of high groundwater levels. Visit www.southernwater.co.uk/chichester for more details.

This tour will, I’m sure be of significant interest to many of us, given the huge amount of building that is going on in the area, the sewerage from much of which will go through Apuldram!

£12 including a light lunch – MEMBERS ONLY as only 10 people can be accommodated at any one time.

Another visit is arranged for the 21 November (CODE V2).

Your host for the day will be Ginny Kidd.

Venue Apuldram Waste Water Treatment Works, Apuldram Road, Fishbourne. FREE car parking on site.
