Border patrol visiting Itchenor.

The new date is Thursday 27th September.

A Border Patrol vessel will be visiting Itchenor Quay in front of the Harbour Office on 27th September. There will be staggered tours around the boat for 6 people at a time and bird watching with John Arnott for those not on the boat.
Learn about the work of the UKBF and how we can help be their “eyes and ears” in the harbour. It is very relevant to Chichester Harbour as we have had three incidents of illegal immigrants arriving in the harbour in recent years. We look forward to an update about the work of this important part of our security forces.

The plan for the visit is to have a tour around the vessel followed by a talk at the Itchenor Sailing Club followed by lunch of either meat or vegetarian lasagne.

The boat is due to arrive between 10:30 to 11:00. In the unlikely event of a major coastal emergency that day withdrawing the vessel allocated to our visit, we will still have the talk by a land-based member of the UKBF and lunch. We will reschedule the boat for another date.
