FRIENDS EVENTS

Social, educational and so much more.

Whether it’s a seal safari or a bird-watching tour on board the Solar Heritage; a guided tour of Chichester’s Roman Walls or a visit to Goodwood for afternoon tea; a talk about a local naval hero such as Admiral Sir George Murray or one focusing on the Chichester/Arun Canal; a wine-tasting at Tinwood Vineyard or a trip over to Fort Cumberland, each year’s calendar of events for our members promises to cover a broad span of interests and subjects. The thread linking Friends of Chichester Harbour events is their connection to the Harbour and the surrounding environment.

There’s always something new and intriguing to be discovered about the locality, even for those who have called it their home for a while. For those who may have recently moved to the area, on the other hand, these events are also a great way to find out more about what’s on the doorstep and to make new acquaintances at the same time.

Our events tend to be relatively small-sized groups to ensure their exclusivity and close-knit nature – and to recognise the support we receive from our members. We often find dates are oversubscribed and sell out quickly!

Most events allow members to bring one guest each (with a special price extended to the former) while others are exclusive to our membership. Some events are sold at cost price while others generate a small profit  that in turn goes towards the charity’s various environmental projects.

Events are usually announced six weeks in advance with Friends being e-mailed the details directly and notified of the date and time when Ticketsource bookings will go live.

For information and dates of upcoming events currently being promoted, head to www.ticketsource.co.uk and type in ‘Friends of Chichester Harbour’.
